How to manage OBGYN calls?
It is very important to first identify if the PT is an OBGYN PT or NOT.

Ask proving Questions to make sure the reason of the call belongs to OBGYN. You can always contact OBGYN Dept. via Sparkor or at their stations.

 

 

PT states she is pregnant and wants to be seen.

 

When patient calls to let us know she is running late.

 

Wants to set an apt related with
OBGYN.

Reschedule OBGYN appt.

Confirm Appt.

CancelOBGYN appt.

 

Any OBGYN Office inquiry.

 

Call back of a voicemail from
Dr. Rey or Dr. Vada.

 

Any Reminder done by Dr. Vada or Dr. Rey should be forwarded to OB MA'S

When to transfer to OBGYN
DO NOT Transfer to OBGYN If

Anything related with Family Practice
Appointments: confirmations,
rescheduling, cancellation, etc.

 

RX prescribed by Family practice providers.
 

If OBGYN is listed as their assigned clinic, (ask more information to make
sure it applies).

 

Patient already spoke with OBGYN and was transferred to Family Practice
